ABOUT ME

Hello, Welcome to my website. I am Amanda, a mum to 3 awesome children who all have the super power that is Autism. I have been through the diagnosis journey 3 times now all being very different. Back in 2010 when I was going through my first journey I soon realised that there is a massive lack of support for parents who may potentially have a child with autism. Not just with the diagnosis process but also support with schools and with guidance on how to manage certain behaviours and struggles that come with Autism. This is when I started an online support group. I helped many parents through the journey and supported them with schools, home life and the journey of diagnosis. I had 3 young children of my own so couldn't dedicate a lot of time to this. In 2013 I opened a Minecraft server for Autistic children that started off as UK based then one morning I woke up to requests to join from around the world. It was then I took the decision to allow the server to go world wide. Unfortunately after doing a TV appearance, Radio interview, Newspaper article and a PC Mag interview the press just kept chasing me so I took the hard decision to close the server.  Watching an Autistic child on Minecraft is so magical as they play and engage so happily in their own little world. I saw this through my eldest son and he was the reason I started the server. 

Now my children are older I can now dedicate my time towards helping and supporting others going through the journey of diagnosis. So here I am The Autism Diplomat ready to help anyone who needs support and guidance along the way.
